All Aboard The Water Bus
On Thursday 16th March the Water NI Bus visited our school. It was a big double decker. On the top deck we learned about the water cycle, ways to save water, why water is so important to us and our world and why we are so lucky that all we have to do is turn a tap and we have clean fresh water. We watched the story of a little girl in Africa who has to walk 4 miles each day to get a bucket of water for her family and then carry it 4 miles back home again on her head.
On the bottom deck we learned about how water is collected, cleaned and piped to our homes and then how the dirty water which leaves our homes is cleaned before it enters the sea and water cycle again.
