☘️ P1/2 Explore Shamrocks at Forest School! ☘️
This week, our P1/2 children had a fantastic time at Forest School, where they went on a special shamrock hunt!
☘️🔎
As part of our outdoor learning, the children explored the natural environment, searching high and low for shamrocks hidden among the grass and leaves.
Once they found some, they took a closer look, using magnifying glasses to examine the tiny details of the leaves. They noticed the delicate veins and the way each leaf formed a perfect group of three—just like a heart!
After their investigation, the children got creative by making their own shamrocks. Using evergreen leaves and a heart-shaped puncher, they carefully cut out heart-shaped pieces and arranged them into shamrock shapes. This fun activity helped them develop their fine motor skills while learning more about nature and how St. Patrick used this leaf to tell the people of Ireland about God.
The children loved being outdoors and working together to complete their shamrock-themed challenges. It was a fantastic way to celebrate the season while enjoying hands-on learning in the spring sunshine and crisp fresh air!
