Today Primary 4 received a visit from local author Declan Carville in partnership with the Amma Creative Learning Centre. This was a very exciting and informative visit as Declan spoke to the children all about his books and about being an author. He read the story of ‘The Magic Harp’ and ‘The Fairy Glen’ 🧚♀️. He showed us pictures of Kilbroney Forest Park and how it inspired some of his writing. The boys and girls did a book review of ‘The Magic Harp’ and got to see some beautiful paintings produced by illustrators. They found out lots of information about being an author during the question and answer session and look forward to writing and illustrating some of their own stories in class in the future!
