π World Book Day: "Read Your Way" with The Enormous Crocodile π
This year, our class had an exciting World Book Day with the theme "Read Your Way." We chose to base our activities on the wonderful book The Enormous Crocodile by Roald Dahl, which brought a LOT of fun, excitement and creativity to our day.
The story of the cunning crocodile and his mischievous plans had everyone on the edge of their seats, laughing and eagerly anticipating what would happen next.
They created their own crocodile puppets, which they used to reenact scenes from the story. The classroom was filled with laughter as students brought the characters to life with their imaginative performances.
They even had a World Book Day PE session were they tried to cross the river with all the hungry crocodiles! SNAP SNAP π
We had a checklist of things to make our day fun!
We
π read our favourite book outside with some friends from Primary 4
π read an e book written by children from Primary 7
π listened to an audio book using Γineβs tonie box
π made paper crocodiles and Roly Poly birds in the Art area
π took a book home from our class library
Overall, our World Book Day celebration was a huge success. The children had a fantastic time exploring the world of The Enormous Crocodile and expressing their love for reading in their own unique ways.
We look forward to much more reading fun in Primary 1/2 ππ
