🌷Budding artists in Primary 3&4🌷
For the past number of weeks primary 3 and 4 have been learning about the work of Vincent Van Gogh, and in particular his very famous painting entitled ‘Sunflowers’.
🌻We read the story ‘Camille and the Sunflowers’ which told us about the life of Vincent Van Gogh and how this famous painting came about.
🌻We planted our own seeds and gifted them to our mums for a special Mother’s Day surprise. We discussed the conditions our seeds need in order to grow into a healthy flower. They need plenty of sunlight, water and warmth. We are looking forward to watching them bloom over the coming weeks and months.
🌻We looked at a selection of real flowers and discussed our favourites. We recorded the results in a variety of ways including a table, bar chart, block graph and pie chart.
🌻We made careful observations and drawings of our favourite flowers. We looked closely at the detail on the petals, stems and leaves.
🌻Finally we painted our flowers, inspired by the artistic style of Vincent Van Gogh.
We hope you like the finished results 🎨
