As part of our WW2 topic P4 have been learning about the rationing of food and how people were encouraged to grow their own fruit and vegetables to have more food to eat. 🥦🍅🍓
On Friday P4 created and planted a “Dig For Victory” vegetable garden in school. We planted lettuces, radishes, carrots, broccoli and lots more! Everyone in P4 enjoyed themselves so much and really got to experience how families during WW2 would have set up their own vegetable patches.
