Girl's GAA Indoor County Final Tournament
The girl’s St Colman’s Gaelic Football Team played in the Indoor County Finals Tournament on Friday 22nd March at An Ríocht CLG. St Colman’s qualified for the indoor final tournament by winning the first heat of games which were played in January of this year. On Friday the girls were up against the best football teams in the county at primary school level. St Colman’s played with extreme skill and more importantly heart and determination in all their games and they recorded notable victories over St Patrick’s P.S. Saul, St Joseph’s P.S. Carryduff and St Malachy’s P.S. Castlewellan. In the quarter final and semi final St Colman’s came from behind in both occasions to win narrowly by a point and qualify for the County Final against Carrick P.S. Burren. Unfortunately the girl’s lost the final, however they did themselves and the school extremely proud by getting so far in the tournament. Everyone at St Colman’s is extremely proud of what this panel of girls has achieved. St Colman’s abu!
