It’s been a busy week in primary five. As measures was our learning focus we decided to take our learning outside the classroom. We got outside when the weather was good and measured the doors, windows and playground using metre sticks. We also thought it might be good to use our feet as well to measure the distance around the playground. On Tuesday we took our learning back inside the classroom and measured some spooky ghosts and bats using our ruler. On Wednesday we took part in a live lesson with over 500 other schools all across Ireland. We had lots of fun learning about shapes. We even made a mobius strip, and we got to investigate the least number of cuts you can make when cutting out a rectangle. On Thursday we took ourselves to the ICT suite and we played measuring games. It was a lot of fun.
