This year our maths week focus was “Measure”
As part of our PE, P3 were set some 30 sec time challenges.
🏀 How many times can you bounce a ball and catch it?
🏃🏻♀️How many jumping jacks can you do?
🥏 How many times can throw a bean bag into the hoop?
We discussed why the scores were higher for jumping jacks and bouncing and catching and came up with the conclusion: “each time you throw the bean bag you have to stop to go and get it. You don’t have to stop at the other two stations.”
We also had a visit from Dr Monaghan who helped us measure our heart rate in one minute.❤️
The boys and girls then jogged on the spot for one minute 🏃🏻
Heart rate was then measured for another minute and we discovered that there were more beats per minute after jogging on the spot 👏🏻
