Small But Mighty – P1’s Beach Blitz!
Our Primary 1 class have been learning all about helping the environment through the brilliant story Clean Up! by Nathan Bryon. The book inspired us to think about how we can work together—just like the characters in the story—to take care of our planet, starting with our local beach!
We explored the kinds of items that can sadly be washed up on shore and talked about the importance of keeping our beaches clean and safe for people and animals.
On Thursday 27th March, our class took action and became real-life eco heroes during our very own Beach Clean-Up! Armed with litter pickers and big smiles, our enthusiastic P1s collected an incredible four full bags of rubbish as part of the Big Spring Clear-Up.
A huge well done to all of our little P1 eco warriors—you made such a difference and we are so proud of you!
To celebrate our hard work, we finished the trip with a visit to the park for some well-earned fun and playtime. A brilliant day full of teamwork, learning and looking after our world!
