P4 Beach Clean 🏖
24th Oct 2024
Today Primary 4 took park in a beach clean hosted by Jenny from the Northern Ireland Fishery Harbour Authority. We filled lots of bags and left the beach much tidier than it was before. We learned about the importance of disposing of waste correctly and how we should leave no trace in order to keep our environment looking beautiful. Later Jenny came to our classroom and taught us about the 3 R’s - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We couldn’t believe how much plastic ends up in our oceans every year and we are going to do our best to avoid single use plastic whenever possible. This linked in very well with our World Around Us topic ‘Going Green’ which we will explore later this year. Good job P4 👏
