P4 trip to Armagh Planetarium π«
What a day P4 had in Armagh Planetarium! πͺ
πͺ Our day started with a trip to the 360 dome theatre. We took a trip with some Aliens to the solar system to visit each of the 8 planets π
πͺ P4 were then given a quiz to see what facts they could recall about the planets- our guide was so impressed with P4’s knowledge ππ»
πͺNext up, we took a simulator roller coaster all around the Milky Way! π’
πͺ Then the boys and girls made their way to the rocket making workshop. Here we worked in teams of two or three to design and build a rocket. Then we fuelled up the rockets, placed them onto a pressurised pump and blasted them into the sky- it was so exciting!! π₯
πͺWe learned a little bit about what life is like for an astronaut- what food they eat, how much exercise the must do in space, how they wash themselves and much more! π©π
πͺTo end our day, everyone was given some free time to explore the interactive exhibition area. P4 got to; touch a real meteorite, Spin the clouds of Neptune, Create our own solar system and dress up in astronaut’s Space suits. βΊοΈ
