On Wednesday 17th April Rosemary Scott, the co-ordinator for the Happy Harbours Programme came to Primary 5 to introduce them to the world of harbours and fishing and to awaken their enthusiasm for the programme which will educate the children on the 4 following themes: 1. Know your local harbour 2. Health and Safety at the Harbour 3. The Local Fishing Industry 4. Biodiversity and our environmental responsibility in relation to harbours, beaches and the sea. P5 are very excited about starting the Programme and are really looking forward to visiting Kilkeel Harbour and meeting the staff there.
