P6/7 Play Script Fun
This week in Literacy, the P6/7 children were learning about play scripts. They read the first scene from a play and were then given the opportunity to write scene 2 in groups.
The focus of this play was tackling bullying which linked to our work in Religion and PDMU. This topic was also very apt for the beginning of the school year. Not only did the children learn all the important skills needed to write a play script, they were reminded about the importance of friendships and how to treat others.
In groups we are now rehearsing to dramatise scene 2. It is important to educate our children on how to recognise their feelings and how to react and manage stressful situations.
