Prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag awarded to St. Colman's
Congratulations to children and staff of our school as we have been awarded the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag by the environmental charity Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful. The Eco-Schools Programme is the world’s largest Environmental Education programme and aims to make environmental awareness and action an intrinsic part of the life and ethos of a school.
Eco-schools work towards achieving awards – bronze, silver and the prestigious Green Flag that we have won. The internationally recognised Green Flag is the highest award given to Eco-Schools and symbolises excellence in the field of environmental activity.
A special word of thanks goes to our Eco Co-Ordinator Geraldine O'Hagan, children of the Eco-Committee and Barney who have worked tremendously hard over the last number of years to help us achieve this prestigious award.
