We have been super busy in Primary 1. Here are some of the things we have been learning recently:
We have been learning about The Three Little Pigs in literacy. We made houses of straw, sticks and bricks. We also used Numicon to make houses for The Three Little Pigs.
Miss Murphy has been teaching us lots about percussion instruments. We have been exploring beat , pulse and tempo. There have been lots of cross curricular links with music to our literacy and numeracy. We played our instruments fast and slow to the story of The Tortoise and the Hare.
In numeracy, we have been learning about the number 8 and pattern using lots of practical activities.
The Irish language is a very important part of our school curriculum. Watch the video below to see us conversing and saying our Irish poem.
We baked yummy banana bread!
We have been preparing for spring. We have been painting beautiful spring pictures ahead of our spring assembly.
We are continuing with the Mighty Movers programme with RISE NI.
We have been having lots of fun outdoors!
