Today, Mrs Morris and her Year 10 Child Development class from St. Louis Grammar School visited our Primary 1 children. Mrs Colgan and Mrs Morris have been working in partnership for this project and from this, the Year 10 class made resources to help aid development in young children.
The students began by speaking to Mrs Colgan at the beginning of this term about resources that would be suitable for our Primary 1 children. They then designed and made their own educational games which were presented to the Primary 1 class this morning.
The Year 10 girls used a carousel activity to demonstrate how to use the games and all the children were so engaged. Mrs Colgan gave the Year 10 students a tour of the classrooms and talked them through the play environment before spending some time playing with the children outside. This was amazing experience for everyone involved.
A huge thank you to Mrs Morris and the Year 10 girls for their hard work and dedication to this wonderful project.
