Primary 5 String Orchestra
Each Monday morning P5 are being taught how to play string instruments by Mrs Mathers and Miss Hughes. The instruments they are learning are the violin, viola, cello and double bass. The violin is the smallest string instrument and the double bass is the biggest. Each child got their instrument this morning and they were absolutely delighted. The string instrument they got today will be the one that they will learn this year. They learned how to hold their instrument properly, how to strum it and how to put it back carefully in its case. They will all perform together as a string orchestra at our end of year concert. This is a truly wonderful opportunity for everyone one of them.
