Primary 5 thoroughly enjoyed Maths Week
During Maths Week we were doing lots of different activities and problem solving.
We were divided into groups and we had to discuss-:1. What Maths you need to use if hosting a party 2.What you like about Maths and what you find challenging 3.Why Maths is important in everyday life
The pupils came up with lots of interesting ideas and the groups shared their ideas with the class.
We practised our 6 times multiplication and division tables and played the computer game Speed Challenge to see how well we knew them. We applied this knowledge to solving problems.
To finish off Maths Week we had to make a table of the information given on the whiteboard and then answer questions on it.
The table made it a lot easier to see all the information clearly and then it was a lot handier to extract this information to answer the questions.
Maths Week was interesting, challenging and fun!
