School Pollinator Project
The academic year of 2022-23 was a busy year for all involved in carrying out the School Pollinator Project. Fortunately, St Colman’s successfully received a grant which aimed to create more outdoor learning spaces for our children to enjoy. The money received also helped the school create more pollinator areas within our school grounds, with the aim of improving biodiversity. This project and grant allowed us to form more pollinator beds; create a pollinator garden; plant extensive hedging; purchase outside furniture in the form of benches and tables and construct a large pergola in the Quadrangle. We are delighted with all the positive outcomes from taking part in this project and we look forward to the children enjoying these new outdoor learning spaces in the years ahead.
