School update : Coronavirus
Dear parents/guardians,
The health, safety and well-being of children, staff and our wider school community has and always will be the number one priority in St Colman's Primary School. The evolving situation facing us of Covid-19 is unprecedented and as such decisions have to be made for the safety and protection of our entire school community.
After much consultation with the Chairperson of the Board of Governors we have made the decision to bring forward some staff training days. This will mean that the school will be closed to children for the remainder of this week (Wednesday 18th - Friday 20th March inclusive) These days will afford staff the necessary time needed to continue with online preparations for our children. During this time we will also monitor the situation which seems to be evolving continuously. There may be a government announcement about the way forward for schools within this time frame. We will continue to communicate with you via the school app.
This has been a very difficult decision to make in many ways.We ask you for your continued understanding and support in any decisions that we have to take.
We ask that you continue to follow closely all guidelines that are available as we strive to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
Please continue to look after each other especially those who are vulnerable in any way.
'Humanity is
our immunity.
Let this go viral'
