September in Primary 2
Primary 2 have had a busy start to the school year;
📚 In literacy this month we have been busy practising our sounds and using them to help us with our reading.
We have been learning our high frequency words and using our magnetic letters to make these words.We have been practising how to form our letters correctly using our whiteboards.
✏️ In numeracy we have been counting and writing our numbers to 20. We have been finding numbers between 2 numbers using clues and we have been recognising 2d shapes and sorting these.
🚜 We are having great fun in our topic ‘The Farm’. We have been busy painting pictures of animals and writing clues about the animals we painted for ‘Who am I?’ We have been busy in the vets helping all the animals who aren’t feeling well. We have been playing on the farm and making pens for the sheep and pigs using pegs and lollipop sticks. This has been a great STEM challenge.
Take a look at our pictures to see how busy we have been.
