Our theme in 'Grow in Love' for the next fortnight is 'The Church'. Primary One went for a visit to the church to find out a little bit more about it. They enjoyed some quiet time talking to God using their inside voice and this was very special to them. They also learned about the various parts of the church such as the stained glass windows and the altar. The children learned that when we light a candle, God is with us. After visiting the church, when we returned to school the children made their own stained glass windows using tissue paper and they also created their own candle holders using clay. When they are finished painting them the boys and girls can take them home to light a candle with their parents/guardians for any special intentions. They are very excited to have the opportunity to have special prayer time at home.
