Our topic this term is Victorians and this week we have been researching some good and not so good things that happened in this era.
For example:
“Joseph Lister made phenol in 1868 to prevent people from dying from germs.” Dylan
“In 1845, the potato crop failed in Ireland. This was known as the famine.” Thomas
in 1897, a young 9 year old boy was crushed a London drunk taxi driver. This was the first ever road traffic fatality.” Cora K
