The Translink Safety Bus visits our school
On Thursday 1st February the Translink Safety Bus came to our school to tell all the classes how important it is to behave well on the bus at all times. Susan and Kevin from Translink discussed with the children some of the bad behaviour they had witnessed on the buses and how this bad behaviour impacts on the safety of all the passengers and the bus driver. They showed the children a video of bad behaviour on a bus and how scary and dangerous it is for everyone on the bus. Susan and Kevin told the children that there are CCTV cameras on the buses now and that those carrying on badly can now be identified as they have the video footage. They also told the children to stay well back from the kerb when a bus is pulling in to pick up passengers as the front of the bus goes over part of the kerb.
