The Ulster Orchestra
19th May 2016
Today Primary 6 went to Newry to see the Ulster Orchestra perform. What a show it was! We learned all about the different sections of the orchestra and how they combine to make such wonderful music. Our favourite was the string and percussion instruments.
We heard recitals from Beethoven, Tchaicovsky, and other pieces from a Midsummer Night's Dream and The Nutcracker. Some of the music was familiar to us but we thoroughly enjoyed listening to it all.
We rounded off the day with a visit to Kilbroney. Fortunately the rain stayed away for us to play in the park!
