Welcome back children!
Good morning everyone!
Yesterday saw the return of all the children to school. The school has finally been restored from being an empty, quiet shell from 13th March to a place full of laughter, play and activity. A school is only a school when it is full of children. It was plain to be seen from the excited and happy faces that the children were glad to be back to school!
Thank you parents and guardians for your cooperation with the new routines and for the many words of encouragement to us for our hard work and efforts to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in St Colman’s.
During the coming days and weeks the new school day will slowly take shape. Here are a few important reminders:
🍎 staggered drop offs and pick ups are essential and vital. Please follow social distancing at these times.
🍎 school gates will open at 8:50am. Please do not leave your child unaccompanied outside the school gates.
🍎 if your child is unwell, please DO NOT SEND THEM TO SCHOOL. Please contact school when your child is absent.
🍎 check that the contact details we have for your child are up to date.
🍎 please check the school letters in the Parent Area of the website frequently to keep up to date with all the information that is being issued from school.
🍎 we will be reviewing many of our procedures and routines regularly following PHA and Department of Education guidance. We will inform you immediately when any changes arise.
Staff continue to work relentlessly to create a warm and wonderful learning environment for all the children, in these most challenging and difficult times. Thank you for your support and understanding.
