What a fantastic day P4 had at our WW2 workshop! Read a little bit about what we got up to 💫
Station 1: Costumes from Soldiers, Navy seals, civilians and evacuees were on offer for everyone to try on and dress up 👨🏻✈️👩🏻🚒👫
Station 2: During WW2 the production of toys was stopped. Children entertained themselves by playing shadow games on the walls of their houses.
P4 made lots of shadow animals like dogs, wolves, parrots and many more! 🐶🐺
Station 3: There were lots of items from the days of WW2. Our task was to look at a selection of photos and match them to the name of the item. We found a chamber pot, a wash board, candlesticks and an abacus! 🕯
Station 4: Everyone was given the challenge of colouring the Allies, Axis and neutral countries on a map of Europe. 🗺
Station 5:Military training camp in action! P4 were put through their paces practising crawling under an army style obstacle course! 🏃🏼♂️🏃🏻♀️
Station 6: We all were so interested to hear about the different weapons the Armies used. We even got to hold some of them! ☄️
Station 7: At station 7 we had to use secret codes that spy catchers used during WW2 to write a secret message “meet us at the barn” ✡️☮️🕉
Station 8: We got the chance to play with some typical toys from the days of WW2. We played marbles, dominoes, snakes and ladders and many more! 🎲
